may you all have peace!.
some years ago posters on a predecessor site to jwn put forth the allegation that i was starting my own church.
very recently, allegations have been made that i am forming a cult/trying to pull together an exclusive group.

i have heard from some credible sources that any alcohol consumption is technically not good for you as our digestive system is not designed for fermentation intake.
i have read studies that say the same thing.. how much credence do you give the concept that any alchohol is technically not good for you?.
-sab.
Is alcohol bad for YOU?
That's the question you must answer.

i have recently become interested in macro economics, particular in the current crisis.
i wonder if you guys have some links to informative and educational blogs, columns or other resources?.
i am personally reading paul krugmans blog on nyt: http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/.
Keeping in mind that there are more false prophecies uttered in the name of economics than religion, check out this site.

belief is spackle.
you can't see the crack in your thinking when you exercise faith.
faith is denying the reality of alternate explanations to yourself and everybody else.. .
Does that answer your question??Actually, I should have been more specific.
You were away from this site for a long time, and suddenly, you come back. Who or what set you off in that regard.

should i turn "apostate"?.
when anyone is replying to a matter before he hears [it], that is foolishness on his part and a humiliation.
prov 18:13. .
I rarely, and I mean rarely, read posts that are soooooooo long.........................but I read this one.
You thoughts are pretty much my thoughts. Maybe that's why.

Forget FAITH and BELIEF for a minute.

for years i have tried to understand the difference between sarcasm and irony.. sarcasm is "the lowest form of wit", some say.
but irony is funny, or intellectual, somehow superior?.
recently i began to really understand sarcasm and why it is so very ugly.
i do not know you well...nor have we ever really spoken on here...but good to have you back..
isaacaustin,
Thanks for the thread. I had to come back, like many do. You want to put it behind you, but somehow, in some way, it gets right in your face. What am I speaking of? Being, or having been, one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
My wife needs it, and I tried to get back for her, but it's just not working. However, I feel my relationship with Jehovah is just fine, and I have provided proof for her, but it always gets back to the WTS interpretation of the Bible.
transhuman,
We'll see who ends up killing that thread.

i got baptised about 25 years ago and was told the new system would be here by now.. along with a lot of other false promises.. so the answer for me would be no!!
!.
I was baptized when I was a baby.
When I was about 11 years old, I followed along with some T.V. preacher who said a prayer of salvation in the name of Jesus.
I was baptized 27 years ago as a Witness.
I think I covered with God.
2 baptism's and 1 prayer of salvation?
Oh yeah.
